A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the presentation of  ”The IV Reich“ written by a childhood friend of mine Jose Maria Arriola.

I used the opportunity to shoot pictures and re-encounter some friends that I haven’t seen in many, many years. It was nice to see old friends, listen to the presentation and get a glimpse what goes behind the mind of novel writer.

In this new book Jose tells the adventures of a young argentine navy officer that has to investigate a possible disembarkment of nazi leaders in the patagonia shores after Hitler’s suicide, quite a challenge to write. It mixes submarine escape, sea battles, bombardments, desolate landscapes of Patagonia with known characters as Hitler, Harry Truman and Peron.

Jose is also the author of Operacion Rosario. A book that tells the story of a plot to kill the Pope John Paul II in his visit to Argentina during the Malvinas/Falkland war, another must read.
